                The DB_CHANNEL handle is used by Replication Manager
                applications to manage and configure message channels that
                carry custom message traffic between the sites in the
                replication group. You create a DB_CHANNEL handle using the
                <a class="xref" href="repmgr_channel.html" title="DB_ENV-&gt;repmgr_channel()">
        <span>DB_ENV-&gt;repmgr_channel()</span>
        
    </a> method. All DB_CHANNEL handles
                must be closed before closing DB_ENV handles. Use the
                <a class="xref" href="dbchannel_close.html" title="DB_CHANNEL-&gt;close()">
        <span>DB_CHANNEL-&gt;close()</span>
        
    </a> method to close a DB_CHANNEL handle.
